Regulator of Social Housing publishes its Fees Statement 2021 to 2022

The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has published its Fees statement 2021 to 2022. The statement sets out the RSH’s budget for the year which totals £21.058 million.  It is anticipated that £14.743 million of funding will come from fees charged to registered providers, with the balance of £6.315 million forecast to be received as Grant in Aid from the Government.

The statement also confirms the following fee levels for 2021/22:

  • £300 per annum for small providers (providers with less than 1,000 social housing units)
  • £5.36 per unit per annum for large providers (providers with 1,000 social housing units or more) and
  • an initial fee of £2,500 for newly registered providers.

The annual fee for small providers and the initial registration fee are both unchanged from 2020/21, whilst the per unit fee for large providers has fallen from £5.42 per unit in 2020/21.
