Housing Ombudsman publishes batch of reports on decisions on individual complaints

The Housing Ombudsman has published reports on another batch of decisions bringing its expanded casebook of decisions to 500.  The most recent decisions include cases relating to:

  • Notting Hill Genesis – a maladministration finding in respect of the landlord’s response to safety concerns about a boiler and a service failure finding in respect of the landlord’s response to a report of a carbon monoxide leak
  • Sovereign HA – maladministration not found in respect of an anti-social behaviour case but recommendations made to the landlord that it reviews its records management processes and systems, in addition to meeting with the resident to discuss any ongoing issues with noise transference and
  • ForHousing – a service failure finding in respect of the landlord’s handling of a complaint relating to roof repairs.
