Inside Housing publishes results of 2021 diversity survey

Inside Housing has published the results of its 2021 diversity survey.  138 housing associations were approached to provide data but only 101 responded.

Key findings of the survey include:

  • of the 101 organisations which responded, 62 have all-white executive teams with another four provided no data on the ethnicity of their executive teams
  • 25 of those organisations have all-white boards with 87.4% of all board members being white
  • only 41% of board members and 42% of executive team members are female
  • just 2.6% of board members and 5.2% of executive team members identify as lesbian or gay
  • there are no trans people at board or executive level and
  • approximately 5% of board and executive team members are disabled.
