Housing Diversity Network to host workshop on challenging Islamophobia

November is Islamophobia Awareness Month.  The Housing Diversity Network (HDN), will be working with its partners and members to try to find solutions to at least some of the problems experienced by Muslims, in the face of bigotry and racial discrimination.

On Tuesday 2 November, the same day as Afzal Khan MP will be opening a Westminster Hall debate on Islamophobia Awareness Month, Kushaur Tai will be running HDN’s Challenging Islamophobia: Meeting Prejudice With Peace workshop.  The workshop will explore:

  • The various forms Islamophobia can take – in the workplace and in local communities
  • The reasons behind the prevalence of Islamophobia, including myths and misunderstandings about Islam and
  • Effective ways to combat this prejudice.
