Housing Ombudsman launches second annual survey

The Housing Ombudsman has launched its second annual survey of landlords and resident panel members.

The 600 resident panel members are being asked to provide views on:

  • their landlord’s complaint handling
  • how it promotes its complaints process including signposting residents to the Ombudsman Service
  • resident involvement in their landlord’s self-assessment against the Complaint Handling Code and
  • how their landlord shares learning with residents.

The Ombudsman is seeking feedback from landlords on recent Spotlight reports on damp and mould and managing agents.  The survey also asks landlords questions about:

  • demonstrating learning from complaints
  • how and when they tell residents about the Ombudsman Service and
  • their self-assessment against the Complaint Handling Code.

The survey closes on 26 August 2022.
