The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has published a non-compliant Regulatory Judgement (RJ) for ForHousing Limited, in which the provider is graded G3 for Governance and V1 for Financial Viability. ForHousing is based in the North West and owns and manages 23,200 social housing homes which are mainly general needs. It has an unregistered group parent.
The provider was downgraded to G2 in October 2020. Following an In Depth Assessment and follow up investigation, the RSH has concluded that ForHousing has not made the improvements required to address the issues which led to the downgrade.
The RJ also reads “Evidence seen by the regulator in the course of its investigation has shown that group decisions have subsequently compromised ForHousing’s independence in its decision-making resulting in poor outcomes”.
