Regulator of Social Housing publishes Regulatory Notice for London Borough of Harrow

The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has published a Regulatory Notice (RN) for London Borough of Harrow.

Following a referral made by a resident of LB Harrow, the Regulator has identified a failure to meet statutory health and safety requirements in some of the Council’s homes.

The RSH’s subsequent investigation found that:

  • In respect of electrical safety, Harrow reported that 3,500 domestic did not have a current electrical condition report and
  • The Council did not have valid water safety risk assessments in place for a number of properties.

The RSH found Harrow to be in breach of the Home Standard and that as a result there was the potential for serious detriment to tenants.

All of the Regulatory Judgements, RNs and Gradings Under Review listings published by the RSH can be viewed on the RSH’s website here.
