Regulator of Social Housing weekly round-up (week commencing Monday 25 March 2024)

In the week commencing Monday 25 March 2024 the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) published:

  • a Regulatory Notice for Lewisham Council for breaches of the Home Standard in relation to fire safety (with over 5,000 overdue fire safety actions), decency (with more than 2,000 homes not meeting the Decent Homes Standard), damp and mould and its overall repairs service and
  • 14 Regulatory Judgements (RJs). 11 providers retained their existing gradings for Governance and Viability. Beyond Housing and the Riverside Group were both upgraded from G2 to G1 having addressed the issues which led them to being downgraded to G2 in September 2022 and December 2021 respectively.  Muir Group was regraded from V1 to V2 as it faces increased costs relating to repairs and maintenance and interest on debt to fund new homes, alongside investment in improving the quality and energy efficiency of its existing homes The RSH has withdrawn Shepherds Bush HA’s G3/V2 RJ, following the provider’s merger with the Guinness Partnership
