In the week commencing Monday 8 July 2024 the Housing Ombudsman:
- published its third Learning From Severe Maladministration report looking at landlords’ responses to leaks and the resulting damp and mould. The report highlights cases involving 27 landlords and
- issued an open letter to Chief Executives of social housing providers, expressing deep concerns regarding the handling of some window-related complaints.
In addition the Housing Ombudsman and the Regulator of Social Housing have agreed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which sets out the functions of both organisations and describes arrangements in place for them to work together.
