In the week commencing Monday 13 November 2023 the Housing Ombudsman published:

• two severe maladministration findings for Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing in respect of its response to a resident’s reports of an infestation of mice and damage caused and in respect of its handling of the associated complaint
• a severe maladministration finding for Stevenage Council after its failure to repair or replace a faulty door entry system led to emergency services repeatedly being unable to reach a disabled resident
• three severe maladministration findings for Manchester City Council after it let a property to a young family despite being aware of a rotten kitchen floor and damp being present in four rooms, its handling of and communication about repairs and its handling of the associated complaint
